With all the sick we have experienced here in the last three weeks, our lives have become quite housebound. Keeping busy, while feeling lousy, so as not to lose our minds is always a challenge, especially at winters end. What to plant in the garden, and our favorite things about summer have become a popular topic of discussion.
Today we are making some lovely pictures of a sunflower garden. I love the shapes.
My mom is the best! Italian sausage soup on Saturday, meatloaf on Sunday, to nourish the family while I am useless with a flu. Today she has taken both children off our hands, for much needed rest and recovery. Thank you as well, to my dear husband, who spent his two days off wrangling two silly willies. Now, I am back to bed.
Our neighbours came for dinner a while back, and brought with them the fixings to make sundaes. Now, I am all about the sundae. I didn’t make this particular sundae in the photograph, but I did however cook up some amazing butterscotch sauce.
Winter is tough. Long, cold and claustrophobic. Days blend, and wait, did I take my pill last night!?Because listen, I feel like locking my door and shutting you out, world.
I can hear it though, the sweet songs of morning birds, chirping in at me. Hold on, we’re coming, just a few more weeks, you can do it dear.
